The Big Picture Week (4th edition) is a five-day inspirational journey, filled with surprising insights, energetic encounters and the sharing of knowledge and experiences on personal learning.
This time with a very international flavor: there will be colleagues all the way from the United States of America, but also from Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey and Italy, parters of the European Leonardo-BPL project (e.g. Italy, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria).

Program Be Inspired! Big Picture Week 2014Get acquainted and run along with students and teachers on one of three participating Big Picture Schools: Kastanjecollege in Maassluis (General secondary education); Prakticon in Doetinchem (Practical education) or MET in Waalwijk (Practical education).

Expect an inspirational day: from orientation in the morning to a deep dive in the afternoon, in collaboration with a BPL USA-colleague.
Costs: € 150,- for the morning and just € 200,- for the whole day.

The Big Bang: ´Leaving to learn´, 24 September 2014
Organized by the Dutch BPL Association and KPC Groep.

  • Personal stories by Elliot Washor - co-founder and co-director of BPL - and Timothy L. Jenkins - principal of MetEast High School in the Parkside section of Camden.
  • Lectures and workshops by Big Picture USA-colleagues.
  • Presentations of the BPL schools in the Netherlands, and schools from Italy, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria (part of the European Leonardo-BPL project).

Costs: € 150,-

During the Big Picture Week it’s not just about thought provoking presentations by inspiring speakers, personal stories and visiting schools; it’s about social interaction. Central is the sharing of knowledge and experience, inspiration and professionalization.

The Big Picture Week offers several activities, e.g. the Big Bang, training, workshops and inspiration-sessions. The magnitude of your program depends on the activities you choose to attend.
